Day 21 - To Singapore

Our overnight flight to Kuala Lumpar was on time and we managed to get a bit of sleep.  The whole arrival process was very confusing as we left the plane and entered the terminal only to be directed onto a bus to the immigration and baggage claim.  We had to change terminals and then go to get our Singapore flight which was also on time.  We are now 9 hours ahead of UK time and  2 hours behind Australian time.

It has been raining and it very hot and humid.  We arrived at our hotel at about 1.30pm and had a shower and unpacked.

We have a lovely room on the 23rd floor with great views over to the Singapore Wheel and Marina Bay.

We have booked a Club Room in our hotel.  This is quite unique to Asia.  It is an upgraded room with free coffee/soft drinks/snacks all day and for 2 hours every night (6-8) they offer tapas style food and beer/wine.  This is more than enough for us and we dont have to find restaurants that Paul will eat in so quite cost effective.

Christmas has arrived in Singapore

After eating we went for a nostalgic walk to Clarke Quays, a lively entertainment area on both sides of the Singapore River.  It hasnt changed much since we were ladt here although new high rise buildings are still going up.
