Day 18 - Melbourne

The weather was better today.  Only a little rain.

We came into Melbourne and did a City tour.  The tour leader used to live in Market Harborough.

We saw some of the sights of the city.

We had hoped to do a tour of the Parliament but the first tour over ran and we were too late.

We then walked around the city centre and caught the city loop free tram which goes around the city.  After a few stops, it broke down so we had to get off.  We went to find a cafe and had a cup of tea and cake snd came back to try again.  This time we got on a fully working tram and did the full loop.

We then went for a drink at Melbournes oldest pub in the oldest building, Young and Jackson before getting the train back to Laras.

After dinner at Laras we went to pick up Oliver from Scouts and had and early night.
