Day 16 - Hobart to Melbourne

After a really good nights sleep we had breakfast and headed to Queens Domain parkrun.  We met a group of tourists from the mainland and chatted to them for a while.  Gradually more and more tourists joined us.  There were a lot more first timers than usual as there is a big run tomorrow called Point to Pinnacle, reported to be the worlds most difficult HM.

Paul also did parkrun and did admit to really enjoying it.  I have waited 4 years to get a Q, which completed my Alphabet Challenge, but Paul got it at his second attempt!

We went back to the hotel, showered and finished packing before heading for the airport and dropping the hire car off.

The departure lounge had plenty of comfortable seating overlooking the runway.  I was a little puzzled to see a set of table tennis bats by the window.  Then a child came along, picked up 2, and I then saw a chart showing the signals for parking a planw.  The child practised a few before getting bored and going back to his parents.

Today is the best weather we have had, apart from in Cairns.

We arrived back in Melbourne and got ourselves back to Mount Waverley where Lara picked us up from the train station.  We had a pre- ordered pizza for our evening meal and an early night.
